Rectoría General

The building also houses the Cine Foro, a significant cultural space located on the lower level, which has become a cultural reference in Guadalajara society, offering film screenings and art and culture-related activities. Workspaces within the building can be customized according to the specific functions of each department, contributing to greater efficiency and adaptability. The current Rector General is Mtra. Karla Alejandrina Planter Pérez, who is a graduate of Preparatoria número 7 and holds a bachelor's degree in Political and Government Studies from the Universidad de Guadalajara. She studied a Master's in Political and Social Studies and is a doctoral candidate at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She has worked as an announcer, reporter, editor, writer, and host of the morning newscast of Medios UdeG Noticias, broadcast on Radio Universidad de Guadalajara on 104.3 FM and Canal 44.
