Rebul Holding

Rebul Holding is a Turkish cosmetics and personal care holding company. Its heritage traces to 1895, when French pharmacist Jean Cesar Reboul founded the Grande Pharmacie Parisienne on Rue De Pera, described as one of Turkey's first pharmacies. The business grew into the Rebul Pharmacy, and in 1936 Reboul invited Kemal Müderrisoğlu to become a partner, with the pharmacy renamed 'Kemal and Rebul Pharmacy'. In 1939 Reboul returned to France and Kemal renamed it 'Rebul Pharmacy'. The holding develops and manufactures fragrances, eau de colognes, home scents and personal care solutions, and operates a portfolio of brands including Atelier Rebul, Rebul, Alex Simone, Brooks Brothers and Dejavous, expanding its retail and wholesale operations worldwide.

In 1920 Kemal Müderrisoğlu, one of the first pharmacists in the Republic of Turkey, met Jean Cesar Reboul, beginning a master-and-apprentice relationship that continued for years. In 1936 Reboul invited Kemal to become a partner in the pharmacy, which was renamed 'Kemal and Rebul Pharmacy'. In 1938 Rebul Lavender, made from lavender flowers grown in Reboul's own garden, became a popular scent of Pera and Istanbul. In 1939 Reboul returned to France, leaving the pharmacy to Kemal, who renamed it 'Rebul Pharmacy' in honor of his mentor. The company states that at the beginning of 2000 a new generation brought new ideas. Today Rebul Holding describes itself as a developer and manufacturer of fragrances, eau de colognes, home scents and personal care solutions, with a portfolio of brands including Atelier Rebul, Rebul, Alex Simone, Brooks Brothers and Dejavous, and it continues to expand its retail and wholesale operations worldwide.
