Overview

Ravensburger Spieleland is an amusement park in Meckenbeuren, Germany. According to the park's own history page, the site was still a simple cornfield in 1997, and in 1998 Ravensburger AG launched a pilot project to create a family amusement park carrying the quality standards and philosophy of the Ravensburger 'blue triangle'. The park was planned and designed by the subsidiary Ravensburger Freizeit- und Promotion-Service GmbH, drawing on more than 125 years of experience with games, puzzles and books. The concept was a hands-on experience in which families with children aged two to twelve actively play and experience things together across different worlds. The park's homepage describes more than 70 attractions, eight themed worlds, and an on-site Feriendorf holiday village with Swedish-style houses, themed holiday homes and BRIO railway sleeping cars.

History

According to the park's own history page, the site of Ravensburger Spieleland was still a simple cornfield in 1997. In 1998 Ravensburger AG launched a pilot project that attracted attention in the amusement park industry: an amusement park with the quality standards and philosophy of the Ravensburger 'blue triangle', which stands worldwide for good entertainment, education and knowledge. More than 125 years of experience with games, puzzles and books fed into the concept. The subsidiary Ravensburger Freizeit- und Promotion-Service GmbH, which had already realized attractions in other amusement parks, planned and designed the Spieleland. The idea of a hands-on concept emerged: families with children aged two to twelve should actively play along and experience things together in different worlds. The history page also lists recent developments: in 2024 a new mascot, the curious rabbit from the game 'Lotti Karotti', moved into the park; for the 2025 season a dedicated song was created for mascot Lotti, and from summer 2025 visitors become detectives in the world novelty 'Scotland Yard', with autonomously driving cars, plus four new Swedish-style houses in the Feriendorf.
