Ranrecord

Ranrecord Company, Limited (嵐レコード株式会社) is a Japanese entertainment production company and record label headquartered in Meguro, Tokyo. It was established on 15 November 1982 by Toshiyuki Tamiya, better known as Arashi, the leader of the rock band Yokohama Ginbae. The company engages in general talent management, CD and DVD production and sales, and internet television production and distribution. Its roster has historically centred on Yokohama Ginbae and affiliated performers such as Tencho Futatsu, Mammoth Ginji, Matsushima Yoshiki, Takahashi Kazunori, Itsuki Kazu, Rizento Yamazaki, and Aikawa Miwa. Ranrecord also operates the JAAM live event series and has moved its office several times, including to Kawasaki and later back to Tokyo. The company continues to release music digitally and through karaoke platforms such as JOYSOUND.

Ranrecord was founded on 15 November 1982 by Toshiyuki Tamiya, known as Arashi, the leader of the rock band Yokohama Ginbae. The company was established as a talent agency and record label to manage Yokohama Ginbae and related artists. Over the decades it has handled production, CD and DVD manufacturing and sales, and internet television production and distribution. The office was originally in Tokyo; by November 2011 it had moved to Unane, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture. In January 2018 the office relocated again, to 1-20-3 Futako, Takatsu-ku, Kawasaki, and later, by October 2022, it moved back to Tokyo, now at 2-16-18-200 Ohashi, Meguro-ku. The company has run the JAAM Live event series, with volumes documented from at least 2016 through 2023. In September 2019 it launched the Yokohama Ginbae 40th anniversary project. In recent years Ranrecord has focused on digital music distribution, releasing numerous singles and distributing songs to karaoke platform JOYSOUND. The current representative director is Toshiyuki Tamiya.
