History
The origin of RAMSEIER Suisse AG goes back to 1910, when the Mosterei Ramsei was founded in the Emmental, Canton Bern. The founding members aimed to produce good and healthy fruit juice drinks. The first product was an alcoholic apple wine. In 1913, a patent was obtained for the production of non-alcoholic apple wine, later marketed under the term 'Süessmost'. In 1914, the Mosterei Ramsei exhibited at the Swiss National Exhibition in Bern and received several gold awards, which are still part of the RAMSEIER logo. In 1925, five more gold medals were won at the Agricultural Exhibition in Bern. In 1934, the first plant for the production of concentrates in Switzerland was put into operation. In 1977, the Mostereien Ramsei, Kiesen, Münsingen and Herzogenbuchsee merged to form Pomdor AG, jointly continuing the RAMSEIER brand nationally.
