Rambøll Fonden

The Ramboll Foundation is an independent Danish enterprise foundation with both corporate and philanthropic purposes. It was established in 1971 by the founders of Ramboll - Børge Johannes Rambøll and Johan Georg Hannemann and three other partners. The Foundation is the main owner of the Ramboll Group A/S, owning 98% of the shares. Its purpose is to own and support Ramboll and ensure its financial and commercial continuance and development. The Foundation also engages in philanthropic activities within areas such as regenerative rebuilding, the built environment, and resource management.

The Ramboll Foundation was established in 1971 by the founders of Ramboll - Børge Johannes Rambøll and Johan Georg Hannemann and three other partners. It was their wish to ensure long-term existence of the company for the benefit of the employees. In 1971, it was decided, based on a proposal by Børge Rambøll, that Rambøll & Hannemann would become a limited liability company – owned by a foundation. The Foundation charter states the purpose and obligations of the Ramboll Foundation. The charter has undergone adjustments over the years, and the current version was signed in March 2018.
