R1 Construction

R1 Construction is a locally owned and operated residential general contractor and property restoration company based in Austin, Texas. The company positions itself as a full-service partner for homeowners across the Greater Austin area, handling both disaster-driven reconstruction and planned home improvements. Its service lines are organized around three core areas: restoration rebuild, renovation, and remodeling. On the restoration side, R1 Construction focuses on the phase that follows emergency mitigation — the "second half" of recovery — taking a property from a gutted, post-disaster state back to its pre-loss condition. The company coordinates structural inspections, permits with the City of Austin, material replacement, cosmetic restoration, and insurance-friendly documentation and scope alignment, working directly from mitigation reports and insurance-approved scopes. Its renovation services refresh and modernize homes without changing the existing layout, covering flooring, fixtures, finishes, and interior upgrades. Its remodeling services transform spaces more substantially, including home additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, and custom architectural work. R1 Construction describes its operating principles as "Responsive. Precise. Refined. Seamless." and emphasizes reliable service, quality craftsmanship, and honesty, transparency, and empathy. The company markets itself as a single point of accountability that manages the entire construction process — from complex insurance navigation to the final coat of paint — so homeowners do not have to coordinate multiple subcontractors themselves. It serves a range of Central Texas properties, from modern downtown condos to expansive Hill Country estates, and says it understands the region's specific style, climate, and structural needs. The company offers free consultations and maintains a presence through its website, email, and phone contact channels.

R1 Construction is a locally owned and operated residential construction company based in Austin, Texas. Public information about the company comes primarily from its own website and a Wikidata entry, which describe it as a full-service general contractor and property restoration company in Austin, Texas. The company states that it has served the Greater Austin area "for years," though it does not disclose a precise founding date in the available evidence. Its business is built around two complementary sides of residential construction: disaster recovery and planned improvement. On the recovery side, R1 Construction specializes in what it calls the "second half" of disaster recovery — the reconstruction phase that begins after emergency mitigation crews have removed water, dried the structure, and pulled out damaged materials. The company describes a common problem it calls the "Mitigation Gap," in which homeowners are left to manage multiple subcontractors after the emergency extraction team has gone. R1 Construction's stated approach is to take over at that point, coordinating structural inspections, permits with the City of Austin, and the master schedule. Its reconstruction roadmap begins with a post-mitigation audit to confirm that framing, subfloor, and surrounding areas are dry and structurally sound, addressing the risk of lingering humidity in Central Texas walls and flooring. From there, the company works from the mitigation report and the insurance-approved scope to return the property to its pre-loss condition, handling material replacement, cosmetic restoration, and insurance-friendly documentation. On the planned-improvement side, R1 Construction offers renovation and remodeling services. Renovations are positioned as refreshes that modernize a home without altering its existing layout, covering flooring installation, fixtures, finishes, and interior upgrades. Remodeling is positioned as a more transformative service for homeowners who want to change their space, including home additions and complete kitchen and bathroom remodels. The company says it serves a wide range of Central Texas properties, from modern downtown condos to expansive Hill Country estates, and that it understands the unique style, climate, and structural needs of the region. It emphasizes transparent communication, keeping projects on time and within budget, and managing the entire process — including permits and design execution — on the homeowner's behalf. R1 Construction markets itself with the tagline "Responsive. Precise. Refined. Seamless." and describes its values as reliable service, quality craftsmanship, and honesty, transparency, and empathy. It offers free consultations and maintains contact channels through its website, email, and phone. The available evidence does not identify the company's founders, ownership structure, or a precise founding year.
