Recently, Steven concluded a multi-year term as the Executive Officer for the Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS). He also served as an advisor for the World Economic Forum (WEF) from 2019 to 2026. In November 2024, he received an Honorary Doctor of Science from Glasgow Caledonian University.
