Overview
The Quantum ESPRESSO Foundation (QEF) is the home of the Quantum ESPRESSO project for materials modeling at the nanoscale. It fosters the design, development, maintenance, and distribution of high-quality open-source software for the quantum simulation of matter, and is committed to the dissemination of the art and science of scientific computing by promoting training courses worldwide.
History
The Quantum ESPRESSO Foundation (QEF) is the home of the Quantum ESPRESSO project for materials modeling at the nanoscale. The foundation fosters and supports the design, implementation, maintenance, and free dissemination of high-quality, high-performance open-source scientific software for ab-initio quantum numerical modeling of materials. It coordinates and supports research within the Quantum ESPRESSO developer community, helps the users' and developers' communities flourish, holds and manages the copyright of the Quantum ESPRESSO software and documentation, promotes education and advanced training, and acts as the official voice of the Quantum ESPRESSO project.
