Puppy Cake was founded in 2007. The founder had a light bulb moment while looking at old cake mix advertisements and thought about making them for dogs. The company started with a few flavors and worked out of a kitchen in a tiny 1-bedroom apartment in Bellevue, PA. In 2013, production moved to a factory in Evans City, PA. By 2020, the company moved production to Portersville, PA, where the factory is FDA & human food grade.
