Profilo was founded in early 1954 in Turkey, where it carried out profile joinery work for the first time in the country and took its name from this activity. It began with few employees and a few hundred square meters of rented workspace. Over time, Profilo Grubu moved into durable consumer goods production, starting with refrigeration and continuing with electrical household appliances, and came to own large integrated facilities producing almost every kind of electronic product. In late 1971, with the formation of Profilo Holding A.Ş., the group structured its affiliated companies and group partnerships under a holding umbrella. Today it operates in many fields, from electronic devices to defense industry and telecommunications equipment, from small electrical household appliances to ship and yacht construction, from enameled winding wire to aluminum and metal products, from after-sales services to the packaging industry, and from export and import to insurance agency. Profilo Grubu employs around 6,000 personnel, and its products are marketed by approximately 20,000 people. The group exports significant amounts, mostly to advanced countries such as the US and EU countries.
