Ponovo Power Co., Ltd. (Beijing Ponovo New Power Electric Co., Ltd., short name "博电科技") is a Chinese provider of testing, monitoring and simulation equipment and digital systems. It provides solutions for performance testing, reliability testing and robustness testing of complex electrical systems, along with test equipment, detection equipment and automated testing software. The company was registered in 2001 and is headquartered in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. Ponovo Power Co., Ltd. (Beijing Ponovo New Power Electric Co., Ltd., short name "博电科技") was registered in 2001 and is headquartered in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. In 2001, the company developed China's first dedicated amplifier matched with the RTDS simulation system, which was applied at the simulation center of the China Electric Power Research Institute, filling a domestic gap. In 2007, its digital simulation dedicated amplifier became the only Asian product recommended by Canada's RTDS in technical documents. The company began researching smart substation products in 2006 and, after more than a decade of testing experience, proposed smart substation testing solutions covering the process layer, bay layer and station control layer. Its custom amplifier products have completed simulation debugging for the whole-station pole control of the ±800kV Xiangshang UHV DC project and system-level real-time digital simulation testing of China's first fully digital smart substation, the Yan'an 750kV smart substation. In the extra/ultra-high voltage transmission field, the company has developed nearly 10 types of testing equipment for converter station primary and secondary equipment commissioning, applied in projects including the ±800kV Xiangshang UHV DC project, the ±500kV Debao DC project, the world's largest back-to-back DC project (Gaoling converter station) and the ±800kV Jinping–Sunan UHV DC transmission project. The company's Bopu Testing Center was founded in 2002 and passed CNAS laboratory accreditation in September 2020.
