Poggio Antico

Poggio Antico is a winery located in Montalcino, Italy, founded in 1976. It cultivates a 35-hectare vineyard at an altitude of almost 550 meters, producing wines such as Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Riserva, and Rosso di Montalcino DOC. The estate is known for its high elevation and complex soils, and has been owned by Marcel van Poecke since 2017.

Poggio Antico was founded in 1976, bringing together three historic farms on the southwestern slopes of Montalcino. In the early 2000s, the estate began a process of renewal, updating the winery with new technologies and expanding the range. The arrival of new owner Marcel van Poecke in 2017 marked a new phase focused on development and quality.
