Plastics Depot

Plastics Depot is a South African retailer of plastics and homeware products. According to its own company profile, it has been serving customers in South Africa since 2009, working directly with manufacturers both locally and overseas to bring a broad range of plastic and homeware goods to market. The business describes itself as a plastics and homeware retailing company specialising in value products, and it sells through both an easy-to-use website and a physical store. The product range is wide and department-store-like. The website organises goods into departments covering arts and crafts, automotive and motorcycle accessories, baby and toddler care, bath, laundry and cleaning supplies, electronics, and festival and seasonal items such as Christmas decorations and gift wrapping. Within these departments the retailer stocks everyday household plastics, storage and organisation products, cleaning equipment, bathroom accessories, laundry aids, and office and school supplies such as filing products. A representative low-priced item is a stackable file basket listed at R 75.00 including VAT. Plastics Depot positions itself around one-stop shopping, style, reliable quality and value. Its about page states that it has added new product departments and conceptualised a new superstore with a 3,000 square metre trading area to strengthen the one-stop shopping experience. The company also emphasises customer service, saying its team of experts is available before and after purchase to ensure a smooth buying and aftercare experience. The retailer is private and does not appear to be part of a listed group. Its operations are focused on the South African market, with an online store at plasticsdepot.co.za and at least one physical store. Beyond its own website and a Wikidata entry describing it as a plastics and homeware store chain in South Africa, little public corporate information is available about ownership, leadership or financial performance.
