Planet Punk Music

Planet Punk Music is a German independent record label specialising in dance and house music, based in Niendorf an der Stecknitz. It was founded in 2008 as a GbR (civil-law partnership) by the DJs and producers Rocco (Sven Gruhnwald) and Bass-T (Sebastian Göckede). From the outset the label operated as a group of imprints rather than a single line, creating sublabels such as High 5 Records, Big Blind Music and PunQ Records to cover different genres within electronic dance music. In 2012 the label introduced the brand "we love dance". A threatened copyright dispute with a media company was averted by renaming the brand to "You Love Dance". Further expansion followed: Spr Sound (Superior Sound without Compromisses) was added as a sublabel in May 2013, and in the same year co-founder Sebastian Göckede died unexpectedly. Two more sublabels were established in 2014 — DustyDesert Music in March and You Love Dance Classics in May. In 2016 Planet Punk Music was converted by Sven Gruhnwald into a GmbH (private limited company). The "you love dance" brand was set up as a sublabel in January 2018. The label's roster has included well-known dance and electronic artists and DJs such as Klaas, Niels van Gogh, Rocco, Bryce, Ziggy X, Steve Modana, Remady, Talla 2XLC, Global Deejays and Megara vs DJ Lee. Its output is aimed at the club, dance and house market, and it distributes through digital channels and streaming platforms. The official website currently redirects visitors to youlovedance.de while the main site is being redesigned, and it carries a prominent scam warning stating that the label does not accept payment for playlist placements, promotions or features, and that anyone claiming to represent the label and asking for money is not affiliated with it.

Its releases are distributed digitally and through streaming platforms, and the label maintains an active presence in the European dance music scene. The official website is currently being redesigned and redirects visitors to youlovedance.de; it also carries a scam warning about fraudulent playlist placement offers.
