Overview

Pirlo GmbH & Co KG is an Austrian industrial packaging manufacturer headquartered in Söll, Tirol, with a history dating back to 1908. The company was founded by Oskar Pirlo in Kufstein, where he established a small tin can production. With the involvement of Julius Lüthi, Oskar Pirlo's uncle, the young enterprise expanded rapidly; by 1912 the Österreichische Blechwarenfabrik already employed 400 people. Over more than a century, Pirlo has grown through acquisitions, mergers, and greenfield investments into a group with operations in Austria and Poland. The Pirlo Group specializes in metal packaging and plastic tubes. Its metal packaging range includes cans and containers for chemical/technical products, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, hazardous goods, and other applications. Its plastic tubes offer high-quality surfaces and modern printing and finishing technology, aimed at premium tube contents. The company positions itself as a specialist for high-quality metal and plastic packaging, with the slogan "If anyone CAN - we CAN!" serving as both promise and obligation. According to the company, the Pirlo Group is the largest manufacturer in its product segment in Austria and ranks among the top three in Europe. Pirlo serves customers across industries including chemicals/technical, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, and hazardous goods. The group operates production sites in Austria and Poland, and has sales organizations in Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. It also runs an online shop, Dosenprofi, offering metal packaging in small quantities from 10 pieces, with EU-wide shipping including Switzerland and Norway. The company is privately held. Its parent entity is Pirlo Holding GmbH, which was formed in 2020 through the renaming of Gebrüder Reichsfeld GmbH and relocation of its registered office to Söll. The group's management includes Wolfgang Schauer and Peter Stanger, who serve as managing directors of the Pirlo Group. Pirlo continues to operate as an active, family-rooted industrial packaging manufacturer with a focus on quality, sustainability, and customer-specific solutions.
