It was formerly Ping An OneConnect Bank (Hong Kong), founded by OneConnect Financial Technology, a Ping An company, and officially opened on 29 September 2020 as the seventh virtual bank to launch. It is described as one of Ping An Group's integrated financial platforms in Hong Kong, offering app-based banking including deposits, transfers, cross-border payments, FX, investments and insurance.
