Pictory

Pictory is an AI-powered platform that turns anyone into a professional video creator, transforming ideas or existing content into videos using AI-powered workflows such as Text to Video, URL/Article/Blog to Video, and PowerPoint to Video. Its founding team consists of Vikram Chalana (CEO), Vishal Chalana (CTO), and Abid Mohammed (CPO). The team built their first prototype at a hackathon in Seattle in 2019 and launched the first version of the product in July 2020.

Pictory's founding team consists of Vikram Chalana, Vishal Chalana, and Abid Mohammed. Vikram and Vishal were co-founders of Winshuttle, an enterprise software company. At Winshuttle, the three faced the challenge of communicating effectively with colleagues, partners, and customers distributed across time zones. Inspired by engagement metrics in short-form videos on social media, they saw short-form video as a solution to bridge this communication divide. The team built their first prototype at a hackathon in Seattle in 2019, and in July 2020 they launched the first version of their product. Since then, they have made many updates to Pictory and continue to listen to customers and innovate.
