Photonic Inc is a quantum technology company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. It was founded in 2016 by Dr. Stephanie Simmons and Dr. Michael Thewalt, capturing their research into silicon T centres, with commercialization efforts beginning in 2021. The company is building a distributed quantum computing platform designed around its Entanglement First™ architecture, which combines quantum computing and networking into a unified architecture. Photonic states it will deliver the world's first commercial-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computer based on an innovative qubit modality built to scale. Its planned product suite includes cloud quantum computing as a service through Microsoft Azure, on-premise quantum supercomputing, and quantum secure networks.
