The club's activities include organizing photo exhibitions, exchanging photographs with other photo clubs across the Soviet Union, conducting plein airs, seminars, and discussions, and acquiring photographic equipment for club needs. A photo group for schoolchildren was also established. The club has about 15 members from various professions and ages, including students, teachers, doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs. In 1996, due to the reorganization of the trade union system, the club was transformed into an independent creative center and registered as a non-profit public organization with legal entity status. Since then, it has been officially headed by Larysa Pavlivna Kovalchuk. Vadym Andriyovych Kozlovskyi and Oleksandr Borysovych Yudin made significant contributions to the club's activities during this period, organizing exhibitions, plein airs, and competitions. History

Photo Club Obriy was formed in 1974 by a group of amateur photographers living in Vinnytsia who dreamed of creating a center for lovers of artistic photography in their city. Even before the club's creation, photography enthusiasts began to meet and gather for communication in the central park of Vinnytsia. The creation of the photo club, which then belonged to the city's trade union organization, allowed photographers to regularly gather in a specially designated room and conduct active work in their city. This included organizing photo exhibitions, exchanging photographs for exhibitions with other photo clubs of the Soviet Union, conducting plein airs, seminars, discussions, and acquiring various photographic equipment for the club's needs. A photo group for schoolchildren was also created. The pioneers of the club were L. Hendler, V. Kikhtenko, H. Martseniuk, V. Mysak, M. Polishchuk, V. Smilyanskyi, R. Tikhonov, and others. The permanent chairman of the club from its creation until his death was the great enthusiast of amateur photography Pavlo Oleksiyovych Shpetny. In 1987, for active participation in the cultural life of the city and country, the club was awarded the title of "People's". From 1993, the club was subordinate to the Creative Union "Photoart" and was its collective member. In 1996, due to the reorganization of the trade union system, the photo club was transformed into an independent creative center and registered as a non-profit public organization "Vinnytsia People's Club of Photo Art 'Obriy'" with the legal status of a legal entity. Since then, the club was officially headed by Larysa Pavlivna Kovalchuk. Vadym Andriyovych Kozlovskyi and Oleksandr Borysovych Yudin made a great contribution to the club's activities at this time, organizing exhibitions, plein airs, competitions, etc. In December 2011, Oleh Borysovych Voloshchuk was elected Chairman of the photo club. In 2012, the general meeting of the club approved a new edition of the organization's statute and carried out a series of measures to update the document flow in the photo club.
