Phoenix Home Remodeling was founded in 2017 by Jeremy Maher along with brothers Ben and Mark Chesley. The company was started after the founders experienced frustrating contractor projects and wanted to create a better remodeling business focused on the design-build model. This origin story emphasizes a reaction against fragmented, low-communication contracting in favor of an integrated design-and-construction approach. From its base in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area, the company built its business around residential interior remodeling. Its service range grew to include kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, laundry rooms, entertainment walls, and whole-home interior updates. Operating as a design-build firm, it manages both the design and construction phases, which is intended to streamline projects for homeowners and reduce the coordination burden on clients. Over the years, Phoenix Home Remodeling has received multiple reviews and recognitions from General Contractors Magazine, Home Builder Digest, The Phoenix Review, Phoenix Architects, and others. Among its most prominent awards are the Ranking Arizona #1 position in the Remodelers category in 2021 and the Best of Houzz Service award in 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025. These recognitions reflect its standing in the local residential remodeling market. Founder Jeremy Maher authored the book Remodel Without Regret, published in 2026, further extending the company's design-build philosophy to a broader audience.
