It offers cloud-native print management solutions, including Pharos Cloud, Pharos Cloud Education Edition, Pharos Blueprint, and Pharos Uniprint. The company was founded in 1992 in New Zealand and is backed by Spotlight Equity Partners.

Pharos Systems International was founded in 1992 in New Zealand. In 1993, it invented secure pull-printing with the launch of Uniprint. In 1994, it introduced user-level printing analytics. In 1997, it embedded pull-printing technology into MFP devices. In 2009, it acquired PathForward print optimization. In 2013, it pioneered cloud-based printer analytics and introduced Pharos Cloud.
