Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is an independent oil and natural gas company focused on driving sustainable returns through the responsible acquisition, optimization and development of high-return oil and natural gas properties. Its operations are focused in the Permian Basin, with assets concentrated in the core of the Delaware Basin, and it is headquartered in Midland, Texas. The company describes itself as the second largest pure-play E&P in the Permian Basin, with operations including approximately 535,000 net leasehold acres across the Permian Basin, largely within the Delaware Basin in Eddy and Lea Counties, New Mexico and Reeves and Ward Counties, Texas.

James Walter has served as Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer since September 2022; prior to that he co-founded Colgate Energy with Mr. Hickey in 2015. Steven Gray has served as a Director since September 2022 and as Chairman of the Board since January 2023. Maire Baldwin has served as a Director since September 2022.
