People's Music Publishing House is described by Chinese Wikipedia as the earliest-established and widely influential professional music publisher in the People's Republic of China. It is based at No. 2 Cuiwei Road, Haidian District, Beijing, and its output has long centered on music scores, music books, music journals and audio-visual products. Over the decades the house built a broad catalogue that includes music textbooks and courseware, classical and pedagogical piano repertoire, Chinese traditional and folk music collections, instrumental methods, dictionaries and reference works, and children's music materials. Its periodicals — among them 音乐研究 (Music Research), 钢琴艺术 (Piano Art), 歌唱艺术 (Singing Art) and 中国音乐教育 (China Music Education) — have served China's music scholarship and education communities. In recent years the publisher has expanded into digital and online services. Its official website features the 人音乐谱 digital sheet-music platform, an app, online dictionaries, a teaching-resource platform, and e-book VIP membership. It also maintains a Shanghai branch and reports on cultural-exchange publishing, such as a Korean-language edition of its Chinese classic folk-song piano collection. The available evidence does not give a precise founding year, ownership structure or corporate parent, so those aspects remain unspecified in this dossier.
