Pansar Berhad

Pansar Berhad is a Malaysian company whose operations trace back to Pan Sarawak Trading Company, a hardware store begun in Sibu, Sarawak in 1961. Its subsidiaries market and distribute construction and building materials, marine and industrial engineering products, wood-engineering equipment and supplies, and electrical and office automation products and supplies, and provide design, installation and maintenance of air conditioning, ventilation and fire protection systems as well as mechanical, electrical, construction and engineering works. Following a 2010 corporate exercise, Pansar Company Sdn Bhd and Pansar Engineering Services Sdn Bhd became fully owned subsidiaries of Pansar Berhad, which is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and whose principal activity is investment holding. Pan Sarawak Holdings Sdn Bhd is its unlisted holding company.

In 1961, Pan Sarawak Trading Company, the predecessor of Pansar Company Sdn Bhd, began operations as a hardware store in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia, and was formally incorporated on 10 March 1965. Pansar Engineering Services Sdn Bhd was incorporated in Malaysia on 8 October 1996 as Pansar Tunas Sdn Bhd and assumed its present name on 10 August 2001. Following a corporate exercise in 2010, Pansar Company Sdn Bhd and Pansar Engineering Services Sdn Bhd became fully owned subsidiaries of Pansar Berhad. Pansar Berhad itself was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 as a private limited company under the name P.D.L. (Asia) Sdn. Bhd.; on 26 February 1981 it changed its name to PDL-Wylex Sdn. Bhd.; it was converted into a public limited company on 4 March 1991 and changed its name to PWE Industries Berhad; and on 22 October 2010 it assumed its present name. Pansar Berhad is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and its principal activity is investment holding. Pan Sarawak Holdings Sdn Bhd, incorporated on 26 October 1972, is the unlisted holding company of Pansar Berhad.
