History
Kumoji Development Co., Ltd. was established in August 1989 as a public-private third-sector management company. In April 1991, Palette Kumoji opened as Okinawa Prefecture's first redevelopment project and first mixed-use commercial facility. The facility was initially managed under the third-sector model, but after changes in needs and social environment, the Okinawa Prefecture and Naha City shares were acquired by the Ryubo Group, and in 2013 it made a new start as a private redevelopment building management company. In November 2020, it became the first in the prefecture to be certified as a 'Road Cooperation Organization' by Naha City, and constructed the 'Palette Kumoji Ooyane (UFURUFU)' outdoor event space in front of Palette Kumoji, which was completed on April 1, 2022, with a Cabinet Office subsidy (Okinawa Promotion Special Project Promotion Expense).
