Püls-Bräu

Püls-Bräu, now operating as Weismainer Brauerei, is a German brewery based in Weismain, Upper Franconia, Bavaria. Founded in 1798 by the Püls family, it remained under family ownership for over two centuries until October 1, 2022, when it was acquired by the Bayreuth brewing family Maisel (Brauerei Gebr. Maisel). In 2024, the brewery was renamed Weismainer Brauerei. The brewery produces a range of beers, mineral water, and non-alcoholic beverages, including the brands Weismainer, LaVit, and Libella. It is located in the Franconian Switzerland region, known for its beer culture. The brewery has received numerous awards, including eight gold medals for its beers and one for its mineral water in 2019, as well as the DLG's highest award for long-term product quality.

The brewery was founded in 1798 under the name Püls Bräu by the Püls family, who ran it for six to seven generations until 2022. On October 1, 2022, the brewery was handed over to the Bayreuth brewing family Maisel (Brauerei Gebr. Maisel). In 2024, it was renamed Weismainer Brauerei. The brewery has a long tradition of brewing in the Franconian Switzerland region and has received numerous awards, including eight gold medals for its beers and one for its mineral water in 2019, as well as the DLG's highest award for long-term product quality.
