OTC Link ECN

OTC Link ECN is an electronic communications network (ECN) associated with the over-the-counter (OTC) securities market in the United States. An ECN is an automated system that matches buy and sell orders for securities, and in the OTC context it provides an electronic alternative to traditional telephone-based dealer markets. OTC Link ECN is linked to the OTC Markets Group platform, which operates quotation and trading venues for OTC equities and other instruments. The network facilitates price discovery and trade execution for brokers and dealers active in OTC securities. Its website, otcmarkets.com, serves as the public-facing portal for OTC market data and company information. The brand is a commercial market-infrastructure offering rather than a consumer product, and it is distinct from the similarly named over-the-counter medicines category. Because the available evidence is limited to its classification as an electronic communications network, details such as founding date, ownership structure, and specific product features are not asserted here.

OTC Link ECN is identified as an electronic communications network (ECN). ECNs emerged as automated trading systems that match orders electronically, and in the U.S. over-the-counter market they are used alongside dealer quotation systems. OTC Link ECN is associated with the OTC Markets Group ecosystem, which provides quotation and trading services for OTC securities. The available evidence does not provide dated milestones, founding information, or corporate history for this specific network, so no further historical claims are made here.
