Overview

Optics Valley Technology Co., Ltd. (光谷技术有限公司) is a Chinese high-tech enterprise headquartered in the East Lake High-Tech Development Zone of Wuhan, Hubei Province. Founded in 2005 with registered capital of RMB 50.8 million, the company operates at the intersection of intelligent building, informatization and the Internet of Things (IoT), combining hardware R&D, software development, system integration, design and operations & maintenance services. It describes itself as a data-services company whose mission is to make data more perceptible and to build smart IoT systems. The company's business spans four core technology pillars — multi-dimensional data analytics, GIS technology, AI video algorithms and IoT control — organized into a proprietary "4+1+1" service system that pairs technology support with system integration delivery and O&M assurance. Its self-developed product line includes intelligent gateways, an IoT core platform, AI visual analysis systems and servers, IoT smart collection instruments, an integrated IoT control data platform, and a fixed toxic/hazardous gas monitor. On top of these it builds application software such as a smart-city operations management platform, a social comprehensive governance platform, forest fire prevention systems, biodiversity monitoring systems, pest and disease control systems, smart agriculture and hazardous-waste management systems. Optics Valley Technology serves customers across more than 18 provinces and reports over 1,000 delivered projects. It has participated in drafting local standards, including Wuhan's top-level standard for a smart-city "urban IoT perception system" and Hubei Province's technical specification for an integrated air-space-ground-human forest fire early-warning and monitoring system. The company pursues industry-academia-research collaboration and has taken part in national and provincial key R&D programs. As of its own reporting it holds 23 invention patents and 15 utility model patents, with 37 more applications pending, and has been recognized as a National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise. Among its credentials, the company is a Hubei Province "specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative" (专精特新) little-giant enterprise, has repeatedly won Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, and has been designated a Hubei Provincial Enterprise Technology Center and Hubei Provincial Engineering Research Center. It was named a Hubei STAR Market reserve "seed" enterprise. In 2020 it helped build Wuhan's Huoshenshan and Leishenshan hospitals during the COVID-19 response and won a China Construction Engineering Luban Prize. The company reports revenue growth of more than 500% between 2017 and 2022 and a 2023 revenue target of RMB 800 million. It has affiliated subsidiaries including 谷技物联 (Guji IoT) and 智云集思 (Zhiyun Jisi).
