Overview
Oppacher Mineralquellen is a brand of mineral water sourced from the Upper Lusatian Highlands landscape protection area. The company emphasizes regional origin, short transport routes, and natural ingredients. It also produces soft drinks, such as the Fresh Water line with fruit flavors and added minerals.
History
The company's history dates back to 1886 when Richard Wenzel founded a distillery and fruit press in Oppach. The firm was entered in the commercial register on February 4, 1886. After financial difficulties, the company was auctioned and acquired by Hermann Meyer & Co AG from Berlin, which produced and distributed a mineral water brand. Later, the factory site was bought by E. L. Kempe from Wilthen.
