One Music Television

One Music Television is a German-language music television channel based in Slovenia. It is one of two sister channels operated under the FOLX Network umbrella, alongside Zwei Music Television. While Zwei Music Television focuses on Schlager music, One Music Television broadcasts current pop, pop-rock and dance songs around the clock. The channel is distributed as an HD service via the Eutelsat Hotbird satellite and through streaming platforms such as Zattoo and MagentaTV, using adaptive bitrate streaming across various resolutions. Its satellite distribution on Hotbird 13° was discontinued on 6 September 2022, after which the channel continued to be available via streaming and other distribution channels. The channel targets German-speaking audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as in Slovenia. It is part of the FOLX Network, which also operates FOLX TV, a private television channel dedicated to folk music and entertainment from the Volksmusik scene. One Music Television represents the pop-oriented strand of the network's music television offering, complementing the folk music focus of FOLX TV and the Schlager focus of Zwei Music Television.

One Music Television and its sister channel Zwei Music Television are German-language programmes originating from Slovenia. Both are 24-hour channels that broadcast music videos. One Music Television focuses on current pop, pop-rock and dance songs, while Zwei Music Television specializes in Schlager music. The two channels are part of the FOLX Network, which also operates FOLX TV, a private television channel dedicated to folk music (Volksmusik) and entertainment from the German-speaking folk music scene. FOLX TV describes itself as the first private television channel to broadcast music videos as well as entertainment and infotainment from the Volksmusik scene, targeting audiences across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The network's channels are distributed via satellite and streaming. One Music Television and Zwei Music Television were available as HD programmes via the Eutelsat Hotbird satellite and via streaming services such as Zattoo and MagentaTV, with adaptive streaming across various resolutions. The distribution of both channels on Hotbird 13° was discontinued on 6 September 2022. After that date, the channels continued to be available through streaming and other means. The exact founding date of One Music Television is not documented in the available sources, but its presence in the FOLX Network and its German-language focus place it within the broader context of music television aimed at German-speaking audiences in Europe.
