History
One House Bakery is family owned and operated. The name 'One House' reflects the desire for employees to feel like a team and become 'One House', and for customers to know everything is made under 'One House' and feel at home. Co-owner/Head Baker Hannalee Pervan has been dreaming of being a baker since she was 10 years old. She earned a basketball scholarship to Quinnipiac University to study Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, then attended Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa, Canada, earning her pastry diploma. In culinary school, she competed in the Skills Canada Baking Competition, winning gold for her province and then gold for the entire country. She worked on both the pastry and bread teams at Bouchon Bakery in Yountville, CA, and was part of the team that made bread for Thomas Keller's flagship restaurant, The French Laundry. Catherine Pervan Miller, co-owner, spent her career blazing the trail for female construction workers in Canada and raising her children. She recently emigrated from Canada and is now the flour miller (or chocolatier, depending on the page) for One House Bakery. Peter Pervan, co-owner, ran a successful contracting business in Canada for 30 years with Catherine's help, and is now in charge of the build-out of the bakery.
