Ogose Brewery

Ogose Brewery is the operating name of Asahara Brewery Co., Ltd., a Japanese brewery headquartered in Moroyama, Saitama Prefecture, with its sales headquarters at the Ogose Brewery in Ogose, Saitama. The company produces and sells sake, liqueurs, honkaku shochu, fruit wine, sparkling liquor, and beer. It was founded in 1882 (Meiji 15) by Zenjiro Asahara, who was born on the shores of Lake Biwa and entered a sake brewery in Ome, Tokyo, at age nine before opening his own business in Moroyama at age twenty-nine.
