History
The history of the current ODEON cinema begins in the mid-1950s. In 1956, the cinema operating company 'Filmbühne Dr. Sander KG' opened a new cinema building with 700 seats under the name 'RHENANIA' at the site of the completely destroyed 'Vrings-Oper'. In 1987, the 'Theater im Vringsveedel' was taken over by the then operators of 'Broadway' and 'Off-Broadway', Albrecht Winterberg and Heinz Holzapfel, completely renovated and reopened as a cinema under its current name ODEON in October.
