Odenwald-Regional-Gesellschaft mbH (OREG) has taken on the task since 1994 of developing and strengthening the economic and social structure in the Odenwaldkreis. Its business areas are local public transport (Nahverkehr), economic services (Wirtschafts-Service), broadband supply (Breitbandversorgung) and renewable energies (Regenerative Energien). Its economic service acts as the central economic development agency in the Odenwaldkreis, offering start-up advice and support, support for existing companies including construction project accompaniment and location advice, financing and funding advice, mentor placement, skilled-worker securing and digitalisation projects.
