Founded by Bruce Hammer, a former professional motorcycle racer who became a quadriplegic after a racing accident, Nuprodx designs and manufactures its products out of its fully integrated facility in Livermore, California. The company offers an extensive range of products including shower chairs, shower wheelchairs, commode chairs, and slider systems for tubs and showers.

Nuprodx was founded in 1998 by Bruce Hammer, a former professional motorcycle racer who became a quadriplegic after a racing accident in 1982. Bruce, who also had a background in architecture, began designing products to help him travel more independently. Inspired by the freedom these products provided, he founded Nuprodx to offer solutions to others. The company designs and manufactures its products at its facility in Livermore, California.
