NTT DOCOMO VENTURES was established on February 20, 2008, as NTT Investment Partners Co., Ltd., founded by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) to invest in venture companies and support new business creation in information and communication fields. In 2013, NTT DOCOMO acquired all shares of NTT Investment Partners from NTT and renamed it to 'DOCOMO Innovation Ventures', then later changed the trade name to 'NTT DOCOMO VENTURES' in July 2013. The company has since managed multiple funds, including the DOCOMO Innovation Fund and NTT Investment Partners Fund, and expanded globally with a Silicon Valley branch in 2017.
