NOSTA Group is a German logistics company headquartered in Osnabrück. Founded on 15 February 1978 by Andrea and Thomas Gallenkamp as NOSTA-Transport GmbH, the company began as a national truck transport operator and has grown into an international full-service logistics provider. It is family-owned and today employs more than 800 people across over 40 locations worldwide, with a focus on Europe. The company's service portfolio covers road and rail transport, air and ocean freight, and contract logistics. NOSTA operates its own fleet and is connected to the combined transport (KV) terminal in Osnabrück, enabling efficient and sustainable transport solutions. Its contract logistics division manages warehouse logistics and material flows for clients across various industries. NOSTA Group has expanded internationally, establishing subsidiaries in Poland (2014), Rotterdam (2019), Romania (2023), and Prague (2024). The group is managed under Nosta Holding GmbH, with Nicolas Gallenkamp as sole managing director since 2017, alongside Marcus Thoben and Christian Böttcher. NOSTA Group was founded on 15 February 1978 by Andrea and Thomas Gallenkamp as NOSTA-Transport GmbH in Osnabrück, initially with three employees. During its first decade, the company focused on national truck transport, building a customer base and establishing itself in the market. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, NOSTA expanded its branch network, particularly in eastern Germany, opening a location in Hettstedt. In western Germany, it grew through closer cooperation with major clients. In 1994, the company established its first own warehouse in Lengerich, followed by additional warehouse locations in Borghorst and Ladbergen. Further expansions included a warehouse in Stadthagen (2006), a new warehouse in Siebenlehn (2008), and expansions of the Ladbergen site in 2015 and 2019. In 2001, NOSTA acquired the Hanseatic freight forwarder Bombach, strengthening its international ocean and air freight business. The founding of NOSTA Cargo GmbH in 2007 marked the start of independent fleet management and disposition, later integrated into NOSTA Logistics GmbH. In 2009, NOSTA began activities in combined transport, operating a KV terminal at the Osnabrück harbor from 1 May 2009, handling block trains to seaports and logistics hubs. In 2014, the group was renamed NOSTA Group and began establishing foreign subsidiaries, starting with Poland (locations in Słubice, Sopot, Warsaw, and Wrocław). Further subsidiaries followed in Rotterdam (2019), Romania (2023), and Prague (2024). On 1 January 2017, Nicolas Gallenkamp became sole managing director, succeeding his mother Andrea Gallenkamp. The company remains family-owned and continues to operate under the umbrella of Nosta Holding GmbH.
