Its systems and processes are regularly certified by independent parties, including ISO 27001, the WLA Security Control Standard and European Lotteries (Responsible Gaming).

The history of LOTTO Schleswig-Holstein begins with a sports bet. On 6 October 1948, the Schleswig-Holsteinische Sportwette GmbH was founded. The idea was a football bet — TOTO — described as simple, communal and comprehensible. Today's LOTTO developed from this sports bet, and TOTO has remained in the range in its original form. The brand is now LOTTO Schleswig-Holstein, headquartered in Kiel, in the heart of the state. Almost 80 years after its founding, it states that it continues to develop while remaining true to itself, whether playing with pencil on paper in the past or via app today. It describes itself as having stood for secure and fair gambling in the state for over 75 years.
