Nomin Holding

Nomin Holding LLC (Номин Холдинг ХХК) is a major Mongolian business group founded in 1992, originally under the name "Nomin-5." It was reorganized as "Nomin Trade" LLC in 1996 and became "Nomin Holding" LLC in 2002. The group operates in six main business directions: banking and finance, information technology, construction and real estate, sales and services, import-export distribution, and air transport/automotive logistics. According to its official website, it has created over 6,300 jobs across more than 500 professional fields, contributes about 6% of Mongolia's labor market and 0.5% of the country's GDP tax revenue, and has paid over 700 billion tugrik in taxes and fees since inception. Nomin Holding's retail and service division operates a large network of stores across Ulaanbaatar and rural areas, including department stores, supermarkets, hypermarkets, wholesale centers, and EcoExpress convenience stores. The group has introduced many firsts to the Mongolian market, such as specialized electronics and food retail chains, loyalty discount cards, building material hypermarkets, online commerce, low-price guarantees, and private-label brand development. Its import/export and distribution division includes subsidiaries such as Nomin Electronics, Nomin Foods, Nomin Home Style, Nomin Fashion, Nomin Misheel, Nomin Cosmetics, Nomin Motors, and Nomin Logistics, accounting for about 4.2% of Mongolia's total imports and working with over 1,000 partners from 74 countries, holding official exclusive rights for around 260 franchise and brands. The financial business includes Nomin Insurance (founded 2001), Nomin Union Savings and Credit Cooperative (founded 2000), Nomin Realtor (founded 2005), and Century 21 franchise operations. The technology division includes Nomin Card, a non-bank financial institution offering bonus card services, and the e-commerce site nomin.mn, originally established in 2008. The construction and real estate division includes Ukhaalgyn Erchim Khuch (Smart Energy), Nomin Oil (founded 2017, operating Mongolia's first self-service fuel station), and other units. Nomin Holding remains a private company and is one of Mongolia's most diversified conglomerates.
