Overview

Nippon Seisen Cable, Ltd. (日本製線株式会社) is a Japanese manufacturer of network cabling, electrical fuses, and magnet wire, headquartered in the Shimbashi district of Minato-ku, Tokyo. The company was founded in 1938 in Kamata, Tokyo, and has since grown into a specialist supplier serving information-network, electrical-protection, and winding-wire markets. Its product portfolio spans three main segments: information network products (LAN cables, optical fiber cables, and wiring components), current fuse products (micro fuses, glass-tube fuses, and ceramic fuses), and magnet wire products, including its proprietary low-friction "L-wire" winding wire. The company operates a domestic sales network with offices in Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, Osaka (a branch), Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Okinawa, supported by its Maebashi Factory in Gunma Prefecture. Internationally, Nippon Seisen Cable has established manufacturing and sales operations across Asia, including Hong Kong Nissen Ltd., Dongguan Nissen Cable Co., Ltd. in Guangdong, China, Nissen Electronics (Singapore) Pte Ltd, and Nissen Electronics (Philippines), Inc. and Nissen Philippines Inc. in the Philippines. This overseas production network supports stable supply of high-quality products to global customers. The company positions itself around three business domains — information networks, electrical components, and magnet wire — and emphasizes a one-stop system from product development through sales. It has obtained ISO 9001 (1997) and ISO 14001 (2002) certifications, and in 2024 received Japan's "Kurumin" certification for supporting childcare. Recent product news includes a 22AWG Cat6 U/UTP long-distance transmission cable under its own standard and a Cat.6A AWG24 F/UTP RJ45 modular plug. Nippon Seisen Cable remains a privately held Japanese corporation, with Representative Director Taro Kawazoe serving as president.
