Niftylift

Niftylift is a manufacturer of mobile elevated work platforms, founded in 1985 by Roger Bowden. The company has over 550 employees in the UK and USA and supports 75% of sales as exports through a dealer network across over 60 countries. Niftylift offers various product ranges including trailer mounted, self propelled, self drive, and TrackDrive machines, with innovations such as SiOPS, ToughCage, Gen 2 Hybrid and All-Electric Technology.

Niftylift Ltd. was established in 1985 in a garden shed in Bedfordshire, England by Roger Bowden, with the first machine being the Nifty 120, a lightweight 12-metre trailer mount. In 1988, Niftylift moved to Milton Keynes, where the first self-propelled machine, the HeightRider, was designed and manufactured. In 1994, Niftylift moved to a purpose-built headquarters in Stonebridge, Milton Keynes. In 1995, Niftylift Inc. was established in the USA and a worldwide dealer network was developed. In 2005, Niftylift Inc. established its first service and spare parts facility in Greer, South Carolina. In 2006, a steel fabrication facility was established in Hoyland, South Yorkshire. In 2007, the first hybrid-powered machine, the HR21 Hybrid, was introduced. In 2009, the patented SiOPS system was introduced as part of the ToughCage, winning an IPAF safety award.
