Initially, the editorial office was part of the 'Ulis Media' group, which included 'Nor Alik' TV company, 'Nor Radio' radio station, and 'Nor Handes' magazine. In 2011, journalist and media manager Artak Aleksanyan acquired the magazine and founded 'New Meg' LLC on 26/09/2011. The last print issue of the magazine was published in 2012. In 2017, the newmag.am website was launched. On June 30, 2018, the first book was presented to the public: a translation of Mark Manson's worldwide bestseller 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck'. The publishing house initially focused on translations of world popular science literature, then included works by Armenian authors, and later added Armenian and world fiction books. In 2023, the 'Yeraz' children's book series was created. The company supports community libraries in Armenia and organizes its own literary festivals. In 2025, the Newmag Signature Club was created.
