History
Needs Well Inc. was founded in October 1986 in Nishigahara, Kita-ku, Tokyo, as a company primarily engaged in management consulting, including the formulation and improvement of management plans and system design. In August 1992, the company established a Systems Division, expanding its business scope from management consulting to system development. In January 1998, it relocated its head office to Tomihisa-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, and began regular recruitment of employees to expand its system consulting and system development businesses. In October 2003, under its medium-term management plan, the company decided to expand its system development business and strengthened mid-career recruitment to significantly increase the number of system engineers. In November 2003, it conducted a third-party allotment of shares, increasing its capital to 49 million yen, and in November 2004, another third-party allotment increased capital to 200 million yen. In November 2008, it obtained Privacy Mark certification; in May 2010, ISO27001 (ISMS) certification; and in May 2012, ISO9001 (QMS) certification. In October 2012, it launched IT infrastructure services (formerly infrastructure construction), and in April 2013, it began embedded development. In May 2017, the company executed a 100-for-1 stock split. In September 2017, it was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange JASDAQ Standard market, with capital of 407 million yen and capital reserve of 264 million yen. In October 2017, it began offering the SAP Concur travel and expense management cloud system, and in December 2017, it started selling the RPA solution WinActor. In April 2018, it executed a 2-for-1 stock split, and in June 2018, it moved to the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In January 2019, another 2-for-1 stock split was executed, and in June 2019, the company was designated to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In August 2019, it started its AI business. In October 2019, it opened the Nagasaki Development Center as a near-shore development base and relocated its head office to Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. In October 2020, it began logistics and connected business. In September 2021, it completed a new share issuance, increasing capital to 907 million yen and capital reserve to 763 million yen. In October 2021, it celebrated its 35th anniversary and acquired shares of Zeroichi Seisaku Co., Ltd., making it a subsidiary. In April 2022, it transitioned to the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In October 2022, it acquired all shares of B.O. Studio Co., Ltd. and Comsoft Co., Ltd., making them subsidiaries. In June 2023 and June 2024, it executed 2-for-1 stock splits. As of 2026, the company continues to expand its business, with a sales target of 11.7 billion yen for the fiscal year ending September 2026.
