History

According to the official history page, Ugo Nason, drawing on his experience as head of the Franchetti furnace, founded his own glassworks together with his four sons in 1923. Initially located on Fondamenta dei Vetrai, the company was soon joined by Francesco Moretti, marking the birth of "Cristalleria Nason & Moretti," specialized in the "production of common glassware." Around 1930, Gabriele D'Annunzio purchased a set of black and red goblets for everyday use in his residence at Gardone Riviera, Il Vittoriale degli Italiani, where they are still preserved today.
