History
Nanimarquina was founded in 1987 by Nani Marquina, during a period of economic, social and political transformation in Spain that became known as the design boom. The brand entered the market with a new vision: turning the classic rug into a contemporary design product. In 1993, Nani Marquina made her first trip to India and Panipat, and in 1994 she moved production to India, discovering the unlimited possibilities of craftsmanship and the cultural value of the rug. Today, the brand continues to make its rugs in India and Pakistan with respect for tradition and the environment.
