Abakus is the foundation of the founders of Avast, bringing tools of positive change to Czech society. It approaches problems and challenges comprehensively and works with experts who provide insight into their fields. Its programmes include palliative care in follow-up and long-term care settings, palliative care in general practitioners' offices, and development of hospital palliative teams 2.0. It also runs a Storytelling grant call. It states that it builds on decades of family philanthropy of the Baudiš and Kučera families and has operated for 5 years as Abakus – the foundation of the founders of Avast.

It also runs a Storytelling grant call; in the 2024 Storytelling grant call, 11 organizations received financial resources to connect with professional creatives and tell their story in various forms, with Yinestudio as partner of the call. A new Storytelling grant call for 2026/2027 was being prepared.
