Mumm Sekt

Mumm Sekt is a German sparkling wine brand whose tradition dates back over 100 years, with the roots of Mumm & Co. reaching to 1827 in Reims, France. The brand offers vintage Sekt varieties including Mumm Dry, Mumm Extra Dry, Mumm Rosé, Mumm Dry Alkoholfrei, and Mumm Rosé Dry Alkoholfrei, as well as the Godefroy von Mumm Riesling Brut and Godefroy von Mumm Pinot Noir Rosé Dry. It also offers Mumm Qualitätswein, described as three high-quality German quality wines from popular German growing regions.

The roots of the traditional company Mumm & Co. reach back to 1827, when its history began in Reims, France. In 1827, the German brothers Gottlieb, Jacobus, and Philipp Mumm founded the company in Reims. In 1852, disagreements after the death of Gottlieb led to a split into two companies. Around 1900, the house G.H. Mumm had about twenty foreign branches. In 1910, the company Jules Mumm & Co. was dissolved, and G.H. Mumm & Co acquired the rights. In 1914, after the outbreak of World War I, the family was expropriated and returned to Germany. In 1922, the sparkling wine house "Godefroy H. von Mumm & Co." was founded in Frankfurt am Main. In 1974, the "Lufthansa Cuvée" Selection was introduced as a precursor to the Mumm brand. In 1981, the first TV commercial for Mumm aired on German screens. In 1998, Mumm set new standards in the German sparkling wine market with an extraordinary design, the "No Label-Look." In 2009, Mumm Rosé Dry was introduced as a fruity-fresh addition to the range. In 2015, the first Mumm Art-Edition with Anja Kroenke launched. In 2016, the second Mumm Art-Edition was inspired by designs from scene superstar Alex Trochut.
