Overview

MstoryHub (Korean: 엠스토리허브) is a South Korean digital content company specializing in webtoons and web novels. Founded on 16 June 2015 and headquartered in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, the company develops original stories, produces webtoon and web novel content, and distributes it through a wide network of domestic and international platforms. Its stated business scope covers digital content development and provision, export of Korean content, import of overseas content, and the supply of webtoons and web novels. The company operates its own webtoon and web novel portal at mstoryhub.com, where it showcases titles such as "The Remarried Empress" (재혼 황후), "The Scandal Maker Returns" (스캔들 메이커가 돌아왔다), "The Duke's Prize" (전리품 공작부인), and many others. MstoryHub has built a vertically integrated content pipeline: it acquires and develops source stories, adapts them into webtoons (including "noble comics" and other formats), produces audio and video content such as trailers and movingtoons, and handles translation and overseas distribution through affiliated entities. MstoryHub's growth has been driven by both organic studio building and acquisitions. It acquired the webtoon business of Studio Santa Claus, the webtoon studio Fandom Content, web novel publisher Garam Media, and translation company Y Communication. It also acquired drama production company GNG Production, whose KBS drama "Young Lady and Gentleman" (신사와 아가씨) recorded a peak viewership rating of 38.2%. The group has established overseas operations including a Vietnam webtoon studio and MSTORYHUB VINA, and has co-founded ventures such as Haotoon China and a Japanese web comic operation. MstoryHub's flagship title "The Remarried Empress" has been a major commercial success, reaching cumulative sales of KRW 11 billion on Naver Webtoon by 2022 and ranking second on Line Manga's annual ranking in Japan in 2023. The company won a main prize at the 2024 World Webtoon Awards for "The Remarried Empress" and has received recognition including selection in the content field's "Innovation Premier 1000" in 2025 and family-friendly company certification. It works with a broad set of partners including Naver Webtoon, Kakao, RidiBooks, Kyobo Book Centre, Naver Series, Comico, Munpia, Bomtoon, Mootoon, One Store, Joara, Bufftoon, Blice, Bookcube, Yes24, Tocsoda, Lezhin Comics, Aladin, Ably, Watcha, Millie's Library, Kuaikan, Tencent, Bilibili, Piccoma, Mecha Comic, Line Manga, Neobazar, Delitoon, WeComics, and Izneo. MstoryHub positions itself as a story hub connecting stories to the world, with a focus on discovering and developing original Korean web novels and webtoons and exporting them across Asia, North America, and Europe. The company is privately held and led by CEO Lee Ki-soo (이기수), with executives including Vice President Lee Yu-jun (이유준), Director Kim Chung-yeon (김충연), and Managing Director Bae Byeong-hwa (배병화).
