Moccamaster coffee brewers are handmade in the heart of the Netherlands at the Technivorm factory, which serves customers all over the world. The brand's first coffee brewer was designed by founder Gerard C. Smit in 1968, and since then Moccamaster brewers have set the global benchmark for the at-home coffee brewing experience. The product range includes glass carafe brewers, thermal carafe brewers, single-cup brewers, café/office brewers, and grinders such as the KM5 Burr Grinder. All Moccamaster coffee brewers come with an industry-leading 5-year warranty.

The Moccamaster story begins with Dutch industrial engineer Gerard Clement Smit's passion for invention and love of coffee. In 1964, he founded his own company called Technivorm. At the onset, Technivorm's origins were not in the coffee industry at all—they were initially known for producing step ladders and shelving systems designed by Smit. In 1965, Technivorm made its mark on the coffee world with the invention of a revolutionary coffee grinder designed for home use. This new aerodynamic grinding system solved the problem of coffee beans heating during the grinding process and caught the eye of legendary Dutch coffee brand Douwe Egberts, who partnered with Technivorm for the grinder's distribution. Encouraged by the innovation and success of the home grinder, Douwe Egberts partnered with Mr. Smit to create a home brewing system. Driven by the love of good coffee and a passion for innovation, founder Gerard C. Smit designed the first Moccamaster coffee brewer in 1968. Since 1968, Moccamaster coffee brewers have set the global benchmark for the at-home coffee brewing experience. Centrally located in the heart of the Netherlands, the Technivorm factory serves customers all over the world. The name of the factory, Technivorm, is from the Dutch words Techniek and Vormgeving, or "form and function."
